Tis the Sezane! (You see what I did there?) It’s officially fall…at least sartorially. And while summer is hands-down my personal favorite season, there’s no denying the siren call of a crisp, humid-free morning (ideally) and the easy-breeziness of a great sweater and jeans. I’m determined to not pout about the closeout of summer — per my usual ritual — and to excitedly embrace what is arguably New England’s prettiest season. And naturally, my approach to getting exited? Outfit inspo.
In my humble opinion, Sezane’s best offerings are always it’s autumn pieces: they have the coziest, romantic knits that exude that je ne sais quoi they’ve built their brand on. There’s a good balance of classic and timeless with a touch of whimsy that gives a tiny bit of personality to day-to-day work and off-duty wear.
They just released their fall collection this morning, and because they produce their items in fairly small batches, they tend to sell out quick. They also don’t really bother with promotions (so don’t bother waiting for a sale), but I find their knits and leathers to be really well priced for what they offer from the get go. I’ve done the hard work and rounded up what I find to be their crème de la crème! (Am I leaning too far into the french colloquialisms?? You know you love it…). Any guesses on what actually landed in my cart?
