Interior Inspiration: Alyssa Kapito

Quarantine has given me the itch now more than ever to obsess over little moments of joy in our home: from small vignettes of vases, candles, and books to more substantial room refreshes by swapping out a furniture piece or finessing a room’s layers. (I’m currently fine-tuning some fundamental parts of our bedroom, hint hint). This means I’ve gone on some deep dives via Tumblr, Pinterest, and old fashioned books, but have also started exploring more interior design portfolios for inspiration too!

One of the designers I’ve recently bookmarked is Alyssa Kapito, who thoughtfully blends modern-meets-traditional sensibilities with small moments of the unexpected. I thought I’d share some of my favorites from her projects here!

Her neutral palette rests squarely in an updated traditional foundation, but I love the occasional stark modern metal and flourishes of unusual shapes in accent pieces in decor that gives each room and moment within a room a touch of personality.
