I recently stumbled across this quote from albert camus and love its sentiment, particularly as someone who adores spring and summer but struggles through fall and winter. I struggle with the shorter daylight hours, the chill in the air, and how it pummels us into winter, which feels so long here in New England.
But I have to say, this fall is feeling different. Maybe it’s that it is our first fall in this new house of ours that feels like the home I’ve spent my life dreaming about. Or the fact that we have magically had sensational weather in the 60s and 70s that have felt like an incredible breath of needed fresh air. Whatever the case, fall is actually working it’s charm on me, believe it or not.
Another thing that isn’t hurting? Cranking open our windows on a nice evening, lighting some candles, and synching this playlist on a couple speakers throughout the home. I’ll be adding some songs to it over time as well, but wanted to share the tunes I’ve been enjoying this season with you all too in case you could use a little soundtrack for your own fall days.
Enjoy!
