Interior Inspiration: A Dreamy Cotswold Cottage

Exterior of Caroline Holdaway Cotswold Home

I’ve noticed of late that after years of feeling inspired by and refining my own taste towards simple (not quite minimalist), warm Scandinavian interiors, my eye has been wandering towards more layered homes filled with character and not afraid of a bit of color, pattern, or moments of whimsy.

Perhaps part of that is seasonal, entering into the winter months where we all just want to cozy up and nest our dens, but I also think we can thank coastal grandma chic‘s dramatic entrance into the interior design conversation over this past year or so.

Nevertheless, I recently stumbled across this gorgeous tour of Caroline Holdaway’s cottage in Cotswolds, England and had to share some of the inspiration.

They’ve really nailed the warm neutral wall color and that simple rustic shelf is chef’s kiss.

The single most impactful way you can cozy up your kitchen is by adding a table lamp to the space, I’m convinced of that.

If this perfect garden with two pups sprawled out isn’t the perfect dreamscape, I don’t know what is. You can see the full tour here — ciao!
