Holiday Gift Guide

holiday gift guide by Millay Blog

With Thanksgiving being so late this year, we are catapulting towards the holidays faster than ever, which means it’s crunch time for getting those closest to you the gifts they deserve to remind them how much they mean to you.

I’ve always preferred fewer, but nicer and more luxurious things that make me feel good about myself, and want to propel that energy into the things I select for my nearest and dearest. So I’ve rounded up a bunch of things I own and absolutely love, as well as the things on my own personal wishlist in hopes that it might inspire and idea or two for you all as well!

  • I love little more than cozy, comfortable loungewear: the minute I get home I strip off my work clothes, light a candle, turn on music or tv, pour myself a glass of wine, and slip into loungewear to enjoy my evening. This Pima Cotton Camisole and matching Pima Cotton Joggers look dreamy and you can’t ever go wrong with this beautiful Diptique candle. I love these sherpa slippers, with a more affordable pair that look equally if not more cozy here.
  • I’ve had my eye on Mansur Gavriel bags for the past few years now, and my eyes nearly jumped out of my head when I saw the big bag sale they were having. This gorgeous Mini Lady Bag jumped right up to the top of my list, and is great for the classic and the fashion-forward-minded alike! A splurge gift, for sure, and you’ll never regret it in a timeless black.
  • I love the idea of a year-long gift, so why not a subscription to a favorite magazine? My recommendations would be Porter magazine or Architectural Digest…or a single issue is a great stocking/gift basket stuffer!
  • This past year I’ve noticed myself really gravitating towards jewelry…quality pieces with everyday appeal. This Mejuri necklace was recently gifted to me and I NEVER take it off. And these earrings by Consider the Wldflwrs easily straddle the columns of both classic and stylish.
  • Perfect gifts for your corporate go-getter or traveler friend are these wireless earbuds (or this less expensive set) and this portable ceramic mug that I use every dang day and adore. (I also have this collapsible one for iced drinks and highly recommend!)
  • Vessels are a personal soft spot of mine: I love beautiful drinking glasses and vases — they exemplify the beauty of form and function to me. This one is an absolute steal, this vintage one has had my attention for months now, and these glasses, while definitely an investment, certainly offer a moment of happiness everyday.
  • Living in New England, I have a deep appreciation for cashmere, and believe everyone deserves to have a dose of it in their closet. I nabbed two of these scarves from Garnet Hill as gifts for my mother and mother-in-law and am a little sad I didn’t get one for myself!
  • How beautiful are these slides for any style maven in your life? They’ve been on my personal wishlist all year long.

A few more selections not mentioned above are here below, and I just spent a bunch of time cleaning up all the categories in my shop tab which I’m always adding to so make sure to peep over there if you like my recommendations!
